We support many Charlotte agencies that serve our neighbors in need of food. Join the team that provides lunch at St. Peter’s Soup Kitchen or dinner at the Men’s Shelter. Our monthly Rice Bowl Offering supports hunger ministries in our community through Loaves and Fishes and internationally through Church World Service Hunger Relief.

Sign Up for Stop Hunger Now
Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. In an assembly line process, in just 90 minutes, volunteers may package freeze-dried vegetables, soy protein and rice into meals that are shipped nationally and internationally. Our annual Stop Hunger Now event takes place during Lent.
St. Peter’s Soup Kitchen
Every second Saturday morning of the month, a group of MPBC volunteers prepare a noon meal for our neighbors at the Soup Kitchen located at the Urban Ministry Center. Tasks include: preparation of soup, sandwiches, salad, fruit, dessert buffet and clean-up.
