Read the Book
Beginning March 1 we will be reading Just Mercy, a best-seller written by Bryan Stevenson, attorney and co-founder of the Equal Justice Initiative.  In this compelling work, Stevenson tells the stories of his clients who are either children condemned to die in prison or people who are serving time on death row, awaiting their executions.

As we read Stevenson’s book, we also focus on the passion narrative in Matthew’s Gospel.  We’ll note points of intersection between Jesus’ story and other stories of betrayal, arrest, torture, humiliation, execution, and burial.

Books are available in the church office for $10.  Contact Anne Clarke to reserve your copy.
